SKIN REJUVENATION

The bioflavonoid ingredient from plants, Quercetin, naturally occurs in red wine, tea, onions, kale, tomatoes, berries and many other fruits and vegetables, with the highest concentrations found in the leaves and in the skins. It functions as an antioxidant, skin-soothing agent, and restorative ingredient. Capable of blocking the “mast cells” which are immune cells critical in triggering allergic reactions, inflammatory diseases and autoimmune diseases, quercetin helps to protect the skin from the effects of disorders like dermatitis and photosensitivity. A 2010 study showed that quercetin was a potent proteasome activator. In other words, it helped to rejuvenate middle-aged or dying cells and even stimulated the growth of new cells. In addition to helping skin cells function better, quercetin can diminish fine lines and wrinkles and improve the skin’s texture and elasticity.
